EVENT: Citizen Academy

The Housing and Neighborhood Services Department would like to invite you to the first ever Citizen Academy.  The Citizen Academy is a seven hour educational seminar covering specific city departments operations and services. The city departments participating in the Citizen Academy include:

 

  • Housing and Neighborhood Services
    • Code Compliance
    • Graffiti Abatement
  • San Antonio Police
  • Animal Care Services
  • Solid Waste Management
  • Public Works
  • Planning and Community Development
  • City Attorneys

 

As leaders of our community, we are inviting all 400 neighborhood associations registered with the City of San Antonio to attend this training.  The Academy will be held monthly and will be located in a different city council district. We ask that you have at least five residents from your community attend the training. We will also provide breakfast and lunch for participates along with a valuable city manual covering city services.

 

Please contact Steven Lopez, Training Officer at 207-4453 or email him at steven.lopez@sanantonio.gov to confirm the date that your neighborhood association has been scheduled to attend the Academy.
